I
once lived with my Deaf parents in a tin
shed in Montgomery, Texas. We upgraded to a trailer, but
it was repossessed so we moved into our barn.
Since
then, I've earned a paralegal degree, pursued banking, promotional
and acting careers and now run my own production and public
relations company in New York City. Here are some of my credits
in all their glorious reverse chronological detail:
I own & operate Ballyhoo
Promotions, a production and PR company in New York
with a focus on comedy and theater. Clients include the comedy
nightclub Comix,
comedian Christian
Finnegan, Jest
Magazine and award winning novelist Edith
Layton. Recently I have promoted events for Richard
Lewis, Robert Wuhl, Craig Ferguson, Caroline Rhea, Roseanne
Barr, Oxygen & Mandy Moore,
and Barbara Walters.
Past Ballyhoo clients and projects include the Chamberlain
Bros. International Film Festival and The
Meow Mix House, the televised marketing campaign
that had nine rescued cats living in a house on Madison Avenue.

I
have produced many charitable comedy shows with The Onion,
NBC's
monthly show Sob
Stories, and The Big Podcast of 2006 which featured
Emmy winning writers from The Daily Show and Saturday
Night Live. In Fall 2007, I will launch two new shows:
Live
Wire and Scene
Change.
With Tex
in the City, a social networking company for Texans
living in NYC, I produced an off-Broadway cabaret featuring
Andra Mitrovich (Love, Janis), promotional
events for the Broadway productions of Urinetown the
Musical and 42nd Street, a private book
launch party for Governor Ann Richards and lots of
free shows and soirees.

I
hosted parties for Jose Cuervo contest winners on the
private island Marina Cay, aka The Cuervo Nation,
located in the British Virgin Islands. I also toured the United
States in conjunction with professional sporting events including
Major League Baseball and NHRA/NASCAR Winston Cup
Series and exclusive engagements for various companies
such as Jose Cuervo, Camel, Stolichanaya, Pepsi, Winston,
Kellogg's & more.

My credits include "Janet Labelle" in the original
Emmy nominated PBS television series K.C. &
the Kidd, "Maggie" in Cat on a Hot
Tin Roof, "Helena" in A Midsummer
Night's Dream, "Billie Dawn" in Born
Yesterday, and "Brooke Ashton" / "Vicki"
in Noises Off, for which I won Best Supporting
Actress.
In 2007, I appeared at Comix, The People's Improv
Theater, PSNBC, The
Drink at Work Show, Chicks & Giggles and readings
at the illustrious KGB Bar.
