Our home - exterior view

Our home post-modernization, i.e., the addition of a tent, ladder
made of tree limbs (far left), seating in the form of a bench
from the cab of a truck and porch area made by tarp and tree limbs.

Interior view.
The poor photo quality is due to lack of um, how you say,
electricity and lighting and a modern camera? That's me on
the left in front of our "closet" (clothes hung on a rope,
some covered w/a sheet). Those sleeping bags cover
our beds which were 2x4s covered in taut chicken coop wire.

We stole water from Webb's Grocery
by filling several of these blue jugs that were loaded in the back
of our pick up truck. Notice the standard white trash broken
down truck in the background complete with a requisite flat tire.

The only photo I've found of our outhouse. That's me
in the forefront doing the sign for "I love you."

Before the shed, we slept outside. Dad made these bunk
beds out of chicken coop wire strung taut over wooden 2x4s.

Waking up in the great outdoors.

Once we graduated from the shed into a mobile home, we
still didn't have proper plumbing, running water or electricity.
That's our tub (okay, fine...a horse trough) and my dad.

My dad puts the finishes touches on our new elecricity!

Ditch digging. Making a better entrance to
drive down the long, dark path to the shed.

No money for a house means no money for a
motorized tiller so we kids were put to work...again.
